The safety and security of our members are our highest priorities. Users are encouraged to exercise caution and follow the guidelines below while using the platform.

1. Never Send Money

Users should never send money, gifts, financial assistance, bank details, OTPs, passwords, or other sensitive financial information to any member they meet through the platform, regardless of the reason provided.

2. Verify Profile Information

Before proceeding with matrimonial discussions, users are encouraged to independently verify profile details, identity documents, family background, education, employment, and other information shared by members.

3. Communicate Carefully

Take sufficient time to know the other person before sharing personal information. Avoid disclosing confidential details such as bank account information, Aadhaar numbers, passwords, or financial records.

4. Safe Meeting Practices

If you decide to meet another member in person: • Meet in a public place. • Inform family members or trusted friends about the meeting. • Arrange your own transportation. • Avoid isolated locations for initial meetings. • Trust your instincts and leave if you feel uncomfortable.

5. Beware of Common Scams

Be cautious of individuals who: • Request money or financial assistance. • Claim emergencies requiring urgent funds. • Offer investment opportunities or business schemes. • Refuse video calls or identity verification. • Provide inconsistent personal information. • Attempt to move conversations immediately to private platforms.

6. Fraud Prevention Measures

Smart Couple may use moderation tools, profile reviews, verification procedures, and complaint investigations to help reduce fraudulent activity. However, users remain responsible for conducting their own due diligence before making personal or matrimonial decisions.

7. Report Suspicious Activity

Users should immediately report any suspicious behavior, fake profiles, scams, harassment, fraud attempts, or policy violations through the in-app reporting feature or customer support channels.

8. Action Against Fraudulent Accounts

Accounts found engaging in fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unlawful activities may be suspended, restricted, or permanently removed without prior notice. Serious violations may also be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.
